The leopard tree (Caesalpinia Ferrea or Libidibia ferrea ) is a slow growing, fairly hardwood tree with a light yellow appearance. When branches die, instead of disposing of them, I cut them up to use for crafts. When working with the wood, there is a very distinctive aroma unlike anything I know.
